Oh, the drama….
For 6 months, our performing arts group prepared for their show at the summer BBQ. And what a show they put on !!
Once a week, for 6 months, the drama group met for their morning session of performing arts. From the first session to the last, they worked very hard preparing for their performance to a live audience. They decided on their characters and not only did they create their own lines which they learned by heart, but they did so much more behind the scenes. They worked so hard with making their costumes, painting backdrops and designing their own banners.
Harry chose to be Danny from the film Grease. What a fantastic version of Grease Lightnin’ !! Harry sang it very well and had the moves down to a T.
Victoria chose to be Fiona from the film Shrek. What beautiful vocals we witnessed from her and of course, every Fiona needs her Shrek… Cue staff Ben !
Kostas chose to perform a piece from one of his favourite films, High School Musical. He delivered a motivational and uplifting speech, followed by the performance of “all in this together”. Fantastic vocals and dance moves Kostas !! The crowd struggled to remain seated.
Sarah performed a piece from the Phantom of the Opera. She was very dramatic and had Lisa and Ben join her on stage. What an epic performance !!
Alex was the final performer and did a piece from his favourite film, The Sound of Music. He was Captain Von Trapp and within a couple of weeks had learned his lines by heart. He then performed the song Edelweiss which was sung beautifully. The crowd were brought to tears.
What a fanstic performance. Well done guys, you all worked so hard and it showed. We are all very proud of you and are looking forward to the Christmas Show “!!
