The boys are back in town
Alex, John and Matthew practising their road safety skills.
Each week, a group of the People we support visit the launderette in New Haw to do the weekly wash of all the cleaning cloths, tea towels, aprons and shirts that we use over the week in our life skill activities
At the launderette, we learn how much the load will cost and use the correct change to insert it to start the machine.
While we wait for our wash to be finished, its cafe time!
We walk to the nearby cafe in New haw. We are practising our road safety skills, to and from the cafe
Once at the cafe, the people we support independently choose what drinks they would like and interact with the cafe staff to make their purchases. After their hard work of doing the laundry, they deserve a rest, a drink and a good old gossip with their friends
When the washing is finished, its time to unload and fold the fresh laundry and head back for more fun activities at Clubhouse with bellies filled with milkshakes, smoothies and other favourite beverages
Who said doing chores was boring, not at Clubhouse!
