Aloha!! Clubhouse Support summer BBQ!

This summer, the People we support at Clubhouse Support decided our annual summer BBQ would be Hawaiian themed, and what an effort everyone made for the occasion. It was the yearly event that everyone looks forward to and gives parents and carers a chance to get together and catch up over good food and great drinks!!

All the guys at Clubhouse worked hard in every aspect to make it a success. We had the craft team making the decorations from palm trees and parrots to the traditional Hibiscus flowers. The people we support were so invested in decorating and so proud of displaying their art and craft for the event. Ben and his team worked on the mocktail and cocktail side of the party creating beautiful and traditional tropical cocktails which were enjoyed by everyone.

We were so lucky to have a traditional Polynesian dancer visit us and show us how to dance the Hula. What an amazing experience and was enjoyed by all. Even James got stuck in and was showing off his graceful moves and hip swaying.

We enjoyed the gourmet burgers and sausages, salad and pasta that the outside BBQ caterers cooked up on site. The smell was mouth watering and the food was amazing and enjoyed by all. There was a big queue for seconds.

We set up some games and the favourite was the coconut shy. I can’t believe how many coconuts were knocked off their posts and won. Staff were beaten on that game as we knocked off huge a zero. Rematch at the next event !!
